• Usage Data: We collect information related to your interactions with Paperful, such as login times, browser type, IP address, and feature usage. This data helps us enhance and optimize our services.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Document Storage & Management: We securely store your documents with encryption and allow you to organize, share, and track them using our software.
• File Conversion: We use a third-party service, ConvertAPI, to convert files (such as Microsoft Office and Apple iWork formats) into formats compatible with our platform. ConvertAPI processes your files solely for conversion purposes and retains access to them only for a short period during the upload and conversion process.
• Security & Encryption: All documents uploaded to Paperful are encrypted both at rest and in transit. We ensure the secure transmission of your documents during preview within our software. When sharing documents with customers, the actual document is never transmitted unless you explicitly enable the download permission. During previews, only a virtual and visual representation of the document is transmitted, which does not include the original file.

3. Third-Party Services

• Fly.io: Our primary hosting provider, where your data is securely stored within their infrastructure.
• Cloudflare: We use Cloudflare for partial hosting and security services to ensure enhanced protection against online threats.
• ConvertAPI: Used for converting Microsoft Office (.doc, .docx, .ppt, .pptx) and Apple iWork (.pages, .key) files into formats compatible with our platform. Your files are transmitted to ConvertAPI securely and solely for the purpose of conversion.

4. How We Protect Your Information

We prioritize security and implement the following measures to safeguard your data:

• Encryption: All files stored on Paperful are encrypted both at rest and during transmission, including when documents are uploaded, shared, or previewed.
• Secure Transmission: Any data exchanged between your device and our servers is encrypted using SSL/TLS protocols to prevent unauthorized access.
• Cloudflare Protection: We use Cloudflare to protect our infrastructure from malicious attacks and to provide enhanced security for our platform.

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information or document data to outside parties, except as necessary for the operation of our platform. The only exceptions are:

• Service Providers: We share data with third-party providers (such as ConvertAPI) solely for the purpose of processing your documents, as described in this policy.
